Lately we have had several requests for groups and small families who wish to stay together in one room. Although our rooms are large and comfortable, they can each only accommodate a maximum of two people per room. It is with this request in mind that we have decided to renovate a small cottage on our grounds. Several plantations have what we call a Caretaker's Cottage. Ours is a lovely one bedroom guest house at the end of the driveway that we have used as a Mother in Law cottage, an apartment for the children, and even a guest house for visitors who like to make extended trips to the area.

Prissy's cottage features a full kitchen, breakfast nook, full bath with shower and a lovely bedroom with a queen sized, antique brass bed. The living area has a sleeper sofa that can fit another two people in the guest house. So, if you would like to experience the magic of plantation life with your family, or just want a fun getaway for a girl's weekend away, Prissy's Cottage might be the perfect place for you!

The Louisiana Swamp Stomp Festival in Thibodaux on March 16-18, 2012, on the grounds of Nicholls State University will give you a chance to dance, dance, dance, to Cajun and Zydeco Music, enjoy a variety of Cajun foods and purchase homemade crafts from local artisans. Don’t know how to dance to Cajun and Zydeco? No problem. Each day begins with dance lessons. We are offering a romantic weekend special for St. Valentine's Day from February 5-15. Rates start at $100 per night and include a home-made breakfast for two. Champagne, roses and candy can be added to your package for a nominal fee.

If you are in town for Mardi Gras and want to experience the festivities of Carnival, we have just the right special for you. Beginning February 16, rooms start at $150 per night until "Fat Tuesday" on the 21st.
